Description for CLEARTEST Strep A Throat Swab Test Strip

For the qualitative detection of the widespread Streptococcus bacteria species of group ATESTSTREIFEN

The positive streptococcal rapid test from the throat swab is an indication of a possible infection with beta-hemolytic group A streptococcal bacteria. Good sensitivity and specificity of CLEARTEST Strep A means verified test results.

Here are the details of the test:

Easy to read:

2 colour lines show a positive result

1 colour line means a negative result

The control line indicates the correct execution of the test.

Streptococci are a group of bacteria whose species infest us as pathogens of various diseases and mainly settle on the mucous membranes. An infection with streptococci is usually not the first disease, because the bacteria can only spread in the body if there is no sufficient immune defence. The knowledge about the type of pathogens results from haemolysis, i.e. the dissolution of haemoglobin (blood pigment of the red blood cells). In order to assess the type of haemolysis, the doctor takes a throat swab with the CLEARTEST Strep A test strip, which is examined in a microbiological laboratory. The test result then shows the possible infection from hemolysis.

Streptococci type A are infectious in any case!
